how do you control your adrenaline rush in a heated argument and fight?

I've never actually had a fight with anyone, but I had an intense conversation today and it escalated a bit. I was shaking like crazy which was a bit distracting as well as didn't help with my overall control.

Is there a method or a way to control that adrenaline rush you get from an escalated situation?
