Just got my Florida permit and picked up a Ruger LCP. After much research combined with carrying a commander 1911 for a week and a half, I wanted to go .380. I know I will carry that gun every day no matter what. Can't say that for the 1911. I took the LCP to the range this afternoon and was able to shoot 2 inch groups at 15 yards which I am pretty happy with considering the size. It literally feels like nothing on my waist! I am still waiting for the awkward "feel like everyone is staring at my waist" feeling to go away. I couldn't be happier with the EDC and the fact that I can now legally carry! I want to throw a shout out to everyone in this sub for providing quality CCW content. It has really made me more comfortable as a new permit holder.
