What's the consensus on heavily customized pistols as CC guns?

I seem to see a lot of chatter about how guns that are heavily cerakoted or modified can land people in hot water when they used it for self defense. I've included an example gun in the comments. Google isn't helping. Appreciate it. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2ahZl6i
