Later tonight I'm leaving KY to go to FL for a week. I am only 20 and can legally own my handgun in KY, and as far as I can tell I can legally possess it in FL also. I've read about the Firearm owners Protection Act, so I planned on bringing it. My question is where should I keep it stored? I planned on placing it in my suitcase in the back until I get to our destination, but how should I store it? Does it need to be in a locked box if its in the trunk?
