Company has no written or implied firearms or weapons policies....and no employee handbook.

I work in IT and my company, HQ in Virginia, has no employee handbook, and no documented weapons or firearms policies on the company intranet. I talked to HR and it has never come up before. Virginia only states that you can't take a firearm on private property (the office) if the owner objects. There is no objection, no signage, and no policy. So I should be safe here right?
