Turned in my CCW application the other day and they didn't hold on to my certification.

I live in Nevada and I turned in my CCW application the other day. I had to bring the application, a copy of my certificate, and an ID. The lady who processed it didn't hold on to the certificate, she just looked at it and gave it back. Is that standard? I'm asking because I don't want it to effect my eligibility to get my CCW.
