So my awesome wife got me one of those little pocket guns for my birthday, a BG380. Man is that thing tiny. Anyway, she wanted to come with me to the range and test it out. She's fired our full size 9mm plenty of times, so I took for granted her knowing to keep her stabilizing hand clear of the slide. Well as you're probably already aware, those pocket guns are nearly impossible to get a good grip on. I wasn't watching her, so i didn't notice her stabilizing hand was choked up too high in the back. First round she fires off, the slide comes back and sliced her thumb wide open. An ER visit and 5 stitches later and I am thankful it wasn't worse than that.Always keep your eye on an inexperienced shooter. Always. For their own safety as well as yours. I took it for granted. Luckily my wife is awesome and didn't blame me. But yea, it was my fault for not watching her. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/29OjqEo
