Much bigger guy is about to hit you... do you wait for that to happen?

Let's say that you're at a huge weight disadvantage, you're 130 and the other guy is 266. He's raging and explicitly said he will kick your ass and is coming into your personal space. One good hit can easily knock you out... and then it's likely party time of the good old 10-15 kicks to the head after you're already out which means brain damage/coma/death.To make your self-defense legal in this case do you have to let him hit you once?
