Is "Duty to Inform" helpful to officers?

"Duty to Inform" does not mean police are more likely to know when a malicious person is carrying a firearm... If someone is carrying and intent on harming an officer, they will not inform regardless of statute. If they are not going to harm the officer, informing accomplishes nothing worthwhile. It seems to provide at best unactionable, and at worst misleading information to officers.Case 1: Armed malintent informs -> Officer feels relaxed -> malintent is given a heightened opportunity to inflict harmCase 2: Armed law-abider informs -> Officer feels relaxed -> no notable harm or benefit via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/29tgHA9
