first time getting pullled over as a ccw holderSo i was driving home last night, its a two hour drive so i tend to zone out and just relax. I take this little back country road. along this route is a bunch of real small country towns and villages. As i was sitting as a red light in a town, i noticed an office pulled out and behind me, i didnt think twice cus i knew i wasnt doing anything sketchy. light turns green and i go. The officer flips on his lights. I pull over, wondering what i did wrong. i park the car, turn it off, turn on all the lights in the car, and put my hands on my steering wheel. He walks up, and says "good evening", (its 1030 pm), I reply "Good Evening Sir, just so you know for your safety and mine, i am a Conceal Carry Permit holder". "Thanks, where is the firearm" "In my range bag, on the floor next to me", he then points the flashlight to the floor and sees my bag. "Can i see your licenses?" "Sure officer, my wallet is next to me in the hand hold of the door there." "go ahead" i grab wallet and ccw and hand it to him. he says "What do you have?" "Springfield XDS", he laughs and says "Good choice! thats what i carry when im off duty, btw sir, im running traffic today, and saw you dont have a front license plate, i know its a pain to get one, but mounting brackets are like $10 at Walmart, i suggest you get one tomorrow" "Will do thanks officer! Have a good night" "Have a good night and be safe sir!"TLDR; i get pulled over for not having a front license plate, officer was cool as shit about my ccw. i didnt die, or get shot.also, i feel like i did everything well, anything you would have changed/improved.edit: Grammar via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/29LVFda
