I had the great pleasure (/s) of sitting in an AT&T store yesterday evening for well over an hour to get a very simple issue fixed. There was a lady and her daughter in there around the ages of 45 and 18 respectively. I overheard a conversation they were having and the mom said "I can't believe how many people just carry knives around in their pockets. That makes me so nervous." The daughter then agreed with her, and the conversation took on a different topic. I thought a few different things. One, I live in Oklahoma, just about everyone has a pocket knife on them. Two, I wondered how freaked out she would be if she had any idea that the guy sitting about 10 feet away from her and her daughter was armed with a gun. And three, what in the hell did she plan to do if someone came into that store and decided to rob it?This whole situation caught me off guard in the fact that Oklahoma and the vast majority of its people are so conservative and gun friendly. I hadn't encountered this extreme of a thought process since I began carrying. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/29Hquz4
