Action (or inaction) to take when getting stopped by the Cops

What is the consensus on how to act when getting stopped by a Cop when carrying?I ride a motorbike to and from work, and carry, but have never been stopped by a Cop when carrying. I understand some states require one to immediately tell a Cop one is carrying, others not.For people who have been stopped (or for those who may not have been stopped but have thought this through) what actions do you take? Do you wait for a Cop to ask for license and reg, then hand them over along with your CCW permit? Cop then becomes aware you are carrying.Or do you tell a Cop immediately that you are carrying, prior to handing anything over?
