What advice can you give for someone who would like to carry a full sized pistol?

I turn 21 next year and I'm going to buy a Springfield XD in 9mm. I have shot it before and I'm happy with a grip safety and how it shoots, what holster should I be looking for, what tips and tricks can I learn to make it easier? Thanks via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2dvz4J5
