Well, that was quicker than expected [TN]

While I've had my CCL for nearly two decades my wife decided just a few months ago to go through and get hers too.She insisted I go through the class with her and I obliged. We are in TennesseeThe class was a full day 8 hour class. I would say about 5 hours classroom, 2 on handling the firearm correctly and a final 10-60 minutes or so on the range qualifying. Range qualification consisted of 50 rounds: 20 at 3 yards, 20 and 5 yards and 10 at 7 yards all to stay within the yellow (7-9) with shots in the blue (remainder of silhouette) -1 and shots in the white or missed -2. Qualifying score of 70 or above is passing. No practice shots are allowed prior to range qualification. She passed the class no problem (97 classroom 99 range)The license process is tracked online for the student from the initial request through the final background check. This is great as it keeps the process in front of the student. So here's the quick timetable: took the class on 8/13 went to DMV on 8/15, fingerprints done on 8/17 and this morning (8/22) it's shown as approved and on its way! To think the whole process will take under 30 days when it used to be 90+ days is unexpected. She's currently looking at bra/undershirt carry options. Unsure on what she will be carrying. Will post her setup soon and mine. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2bri3wf
