When you're going into a place you can't carry, do you take your gun out of your holster and put it in your car or do you take the whole holster off?

This barely deserves its own thread, I know. I prefer to keep my gun in its holster if at all possible, but I also think it's easier if I don't look like I'm whipping my dick out in the parking lot when I put my holster back on, and the empty holster doesn't really bother me.
