Should I buy the Ruger LCP or LCP 2?

I am in the market for a pocket 380 and in late September I had all but made my mind up after hours upon hours of research. Youtube videos, online reviews, reading subs like this one. I had looked at everything, Ruger, S&W, Kel-Tec, Kahr, Sig, Walther, Beretta. Just about looked at every little 380 imaginable. I finally decided to get the Ruger LCP custom. Then comes the announcement of the Ruger LCP 2. So my plan was reset. As it stands right now I have narrowed down my search to the new LCP 2 or I could go with the old original LCP as the custom is impossible to find anymore. At my local gunshop the old LCP is $229 +6% sales tax. The new LCP 2 is $285.99 + 6% sales tax. So all in all the price really isn't an issue. The difference is small enough that I have no reservation paying a tad more if the firearm is that much an improvement over the original LCP. From mostly everything I see it is indeed a better firearm. Here is where my issue lies...Ruger calling the trigger SAO on the LCP 2.Is this really an issue that I should be concerned with? Because in all honesty everything else is pointing me to the LCP 2. But the SAO trigger is a tad bit worrisome. Safety is my #1 concern. Isn't the heavier nature of a DAO trigger better for CCW?I should also point out however I have seen people over @ the ruger forums say that the trigger pulls are nearly identical despite one being labeled as a SAO. According to the following video review the difference in trigger pulls is 5.11 lbs (LCP 2) vs 6.5 lbs (LCP) - (1:32 mark)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLvCZCUDiSMMost of the mentions on reddit and on websites are people that are in the "already have an LCP, should I upgrade" category. But this is not my situation, so I'm just looking for a little help/unbiased opinions on the matter.(PS - I have gone and physically handled both of them. To me both feel comfortable...) via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2eg0qjF
