Have you guys ever heard of sights becoming misaligned from being carried?

Yesterday I noticed the sights on my Shield were a tad off-center. The last time I shot this gun was a few months ago and it was shooting fine, but I've never really paid attention to the alignment of the sights before. I just happened to notice it and it made me wonder if they've always been like that or if they drifted because of my chubby stomach, it doesn't seem like the holster would touch the sights without some force but I guess it's possible.
