For a home defense scenario, do you guys typically wear body armor and a helmet/bulletproof visor? The most important part of you body are the vitals and the face/brain, so a NIJ IV body armor and a helmet and bulletproof visor rated NIJ III should be able to protect you from most rounds. Couple that with an AR with 556, and a sidearm, plus a tactical knife, once you secure your family/pets in your primary room you should be able to deter any threats.Barring time constraints, is there any reason not to have the extra protection, the risk of being head shot or taken out when the bad guys are clearing rooms without armor seems high, even considering the tactical advantage of defending a position? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2Lotkgf
