Hello /r/CCW!This post will mostly be directed towards the social media marketing accounts that are among us.Our subscriber count is growing at an exponential rate. With that has come a slew of problems, however.Undoubtedly, you have noticed that we have had an influx of social media marketing accounts. As a general rule we welcome these companies as members of our subreddit so that our subscribers may have a convenient way to communicate with their favorite manufacturers. For the most part many companies handle this privilege in a professional manner and don’t abuse our kindness.This has not been the case for a select few companies, though. Some companies (like Urban Carry and Kore Essentials) have taken this opportunity to post spam under multiple new accounts in order to circumvent previous bans. This has occurred at such a rate that admins had to be notified and involved.In lieu of this recurring issue we have felt it pertinent to remind these social media marketing accounts about our rules that were put in place by the community regarding how these companies should conduct themselves within our subreddit.We wanted to take this proactive stance in order to prevent any further disciplinary measures from being necessary, and with the hope of promoting a healthy relationship between consumer and distributor on /r/CCW.The entire page of information regarding permitted conduct by social media marketing accounts can be found here.A general summary is as follows:Not AllowedSelf-posts, links, and comments for the sole purpose of linking to your personal blogComments from a company merely linking to a product without contributing to the discussionPosts by a company to their own website/productsAllowedComments by a company that are personalized in response to a question or need. i.e. Actually participating in a discussionLinking to your item/website with a personalized message that contributes to the conversation, if such a response is merited by the question or topic at hand.Finally, we wanted to thank all of the companies that are active members of /r/CCW for conducting themselves in a respectful and professional manner.This post will remain on the front page for a few weeks to ensure proper visibility.Please contact the Mod Team of /r/CCW directly if you need further clarification. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2mzNGIw
