Shouod I tell the officer they are being recorded?

I recently installed a camera in my car (2 - looks out both front window). It is pretty high resolution and has audio. It also automatically uploads to an online storage site (I have given my lawyer the login info if he ever needs it). I turn it on if I am ever pulled over/questioned by police. I wouldn't say I'm paranoid, but I just want to be careful as a CCWer and just a citizen (too many disturbing incidents to ignore). My question is, should I let the officer know they are being recorded?I'm conflicted. On one hand, I got this as a preventative measure to ensure my safety. If the footage later leads to a conviction at his murder trial, it doesn't help me (I'd be dead), so I'm thinking that if I (politely) tell them there's a camera, they might be more restrained. However, I could also see it angering some cop, who then decided I need to be "taught a lesson" for questioning his authority - which could have the opposite of intended effects. Any thoughts? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2rqyS4e
