EILI5: Why take your gun off when going to the bathroom?

I see this a lot. I've heard it at gun stores, "Every few weeks we find a pistol in the public restrooms." There was a news story about a bus driver leaving a gun in a college bathroom. And now the thread in this sub about the lost and found gun.So, why do people take their gun off when going to the bathroom? I leave mine on my belt. When I pull my pants up, it's right back where I had it in the first place.So, I see these stories and don't quite get why they're happening, they don't match my experience at all. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2FuPoCq
