Buying Beltman belt - future proof by buying velcro insert, or is that a gimmick that I won't ever use?

I plan on getting nicer holsters, but I'm not sure if I'd ever go velcro. Maybe having the option is nice, but it's $15 extra.Also, anyone reccomend other belts that could be cheaper but that will retain its stiffness for years?From reading, ALL leather belts will get floppy overtime.
