Robberies and CCWs

I was talking to someone and the question came up: In a robbery, does having a ccw escalate the situation further?I live in a place where robberies are pretty common with armed robberies increasing. Although I am aware that situational awareness is key, I'd like to hear your opinions on this issue. If the burglar has you at gunpoint and searches you instead of letting you toss him/her your items and they find your weapon, they might a) take your gun and/or b) shoot you because they now know you have a gun. Also, if a burglar has a knife and asks for your items, would you draw your weapon, or comply? This is my issue with pulling a gun. If you pull a gun, you intend to shoot - most times, burglars will run away at the sight of a gun BUT what if they do not? If you do not take a shot then they know that you're unwilling to use your firearm and might end up with you dead or stabbed.I guess the crux of it is: when do you comply and when do you fight back. I am in Washington State where you can use deadly force if someone is committing a felony (armed robbery). via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2Dp5gtN
