Found a box of the new .38 Special +P Federal HST "micro" today. This is what it looks like.

So one of my local Walmarts had three boxes of the stuff. I grabbed one. It is $24 and change out the door. It's a neat looking design. It's like a heavily cavitated wadcutter with six petals in an HST design, I guess one could say. It's a very highly polished hollow-point cavity, with a kind of rainbow sheen to the lead. Because it sits flush in the case, reloading is not as easy as with a non-wadcutter design, but I could manage with a speedloader without a lot of jiggling.
