Only been carrying for a few years. Found the BEST weapon for concealed carry.

Situational awareness.I can't count the number of times that swallowing my pride led to de-escalation of conflicts, albeit extremely small ones. Or how even completely avoiding some places known for rowdy crowds led to a more uneventful, trouble-free life.At the end of the day, when compared to potentially losing your life, a lot of things are not worth it. Confronting someone, going to an extremely bad area just for good food, etc... It's just not worth it.The reason why I'm inclined to write this post is because what happened yesterday. At a Barnes and Nobles no less. I guess somebody decided to get up to use the restroom, and another person took his seat while moving all of his stuff to the floor. Guy comes back, becomes extremely angry. Starts a bit of a ruckus when I realized that he was carrying IWB. Anyways, the ccw guy threatens the other person saying "let's take it outside." Barnes and Nobles security had to break it up and kicked out the licensed CCW person after a long conversation and the CCW person claiming that he was "vetted by the Sheriff's department with his license and considered a good guy."I'm glad I carry. However, I realized that carrying gave me the capacity to judge different situations and read people and react accordingly. On a day to day basis, that is what I use the most and what pays off as opposed to the firearm that I carry. Also, don't be a dick. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2wHw0kZ
