Real talk - Who thinks that national reciprocity stands a chance with the Trump appointee?

I'm inclined to believe that, while abortion issues are first on the mind with the new appointee, we shouldn't disregard the huge opportunity it presents for gun owners.I think that it's possible that National reciprocity might be a possible reality in the near future. It needs the right language and the right requirements, but it's possible...Now, as a bonus question: what do you think possible requirements might be for national reciprocity to appease the nay-sayers? Here are my thoughts:(Note, I don't agree with the practices of these, I think it's most likely to pass if these are included)Each state can have their own permit that suffices just for their state and, with agreements, can decide what other states have reciprocity. This would fulfill many people's desire to have a CCL, but not require them to get a federal license. The requirements for each state cannot be more difficult or restrictive than the federal requirements.Applicant must be at least 21 years of ageStandard background checkUp to 60 days waiting periodProof of CCW training course of 12 hours. This will cover how to carry, best guns (sizes, calibers, magazine sizes), types of holsters, state and federal law. The federal government can offer this course to offset the cost needed to process a federal application. No more than $75.3 hours of handgun training. This should appease the states that require training as part of the process for a CCL. Person needs to display, loading, unloading, disassembly. Must be able to put 3 rounds in a 6" target at 7 yards. Safe handling and storage can also be part of this.Application fee of no more than $50. Must include photo ID and 2" pictures with application to be printed on the federal CCW ID. Application can be submitted online. If a state has requirements that meet the federal requirements, they automatically are approved, but must still submit the application with fee, and a picture of their current state's CCL.What do you all think? While I would LOVE the idea of my WI CCL being allowed everywhere, it's not going to happen unless there are federal rules/requirements. So, I think we have to be realistic.EDIT: This would also allow open carry at a federal level, as well.Thoughts? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2N58Qu4
