Is whataburger allowed to do this?

Me walks into whataburger , very politeOrders foodSits down and starts eating foodManager walks up and says“We dont allow open carry here “I look to my belt and i say “oops let me cover that “And after i cover my weapon he says “we dont allow any guns here at all u might freak people out, but u are welcome to put your gun in your car and come back “But i said “there are no 30.06 and or 30.07 signs posted anywhere”And he goes “still i dont want to call the cops”So i go to my car put it inside my glovebox come back and finish eating.Is he allowed to do this?
