Talk me out of buying a budget subcompact.

As listed in my flair i carry g19 IWB in a raven Eidolan.I love it, and it will continue to be my primary carry even in the summer. It fits my body well, and despite wearing tighter clothes, I find the gun and holster are easily and comfortably concealed.That being said, I have recently got into running, and would love to be able to carry something very light, in some sort of belly band, while out on a jog. While I have not tried it yet with the G19, I just don't see it as being a realistic comfortable option. Ideally, this gun could also double and work for when it's SUPER hot, or i'm in formal wear, and need a smaller option.Given that this is an additional piece, and I have no plans on selling the G19, I currently do not have the budget to go all out and purchase a new $500 gun. So I've been exploring a few options.As a note, I've owned and shot a few single stacks: XDs: Owned it and loved it. Found the size of the gun to be large for a single stack and upgraded to the G19.Nano: Shot it and hated it. Trigger is mush and very snappy.LC9s: Shot it and liked it. Only about 3 or 4 mags through it, but found trigger crisp, and recoil manageable.Shield: Probably a couple hundred rounds through my friends, I did not like it at all. Never felt comfortable shooting it, despite the trigger being fine. Also seems to be a bit large for what I'm considering (if I recall it's similar to Xds?) Maybe I just need to put a few more rounds through it? I know they can be had for $200-250 all the time.I have not shot the 43 or p938, and while I would love to own either (both) of them, It isn't the budget. This isn't a wait and save scenario. It's not in my budget for the year as I'm on an aggressive savings/debt pay off plan for about another year and half.So all of that being said, I need to find something pretty affordable. New purchase wise it seems(?) like I'm limited to the shield, or the new ec9s. I think the ec9s could be a fit, though as several have mentioned, I'd probably have to paint the sights, which isn't ideal but for my purposes could be fine. If the overwhelming advice seems to be shoot the shield again, I'll take another crack.On armslist in my area are a few options that intrigue me. A PF9 listed at $175 obo and a SCCY CPX2 listed at $225 obo. I've read quite a bit about both, watched hickock and some of the other notables both, and it seems like at the price, they will both go bang when I need them to, while being small/light.So all of that stuff said, would you think the ec9s is heads and shoulders above either of those options at what would probably end up $50-100 more? Is the general consensus to revisit the shield for another couple hundred?I'm not dying to buy a piece of shit, but I'm also not afraid to go off the beaten path to buy something that fits this very specific purpose.I appreciate the help. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2mg4NhZ
