Is a backpack good for using as a range bag?

Hey guys, since I've gotten my CCW and go to the range more for practice, I've been considering getting a backpack for use as a range bag. Right now, I have a generic range tote from Bass Pro, but all my stuff doesn't fit in it so I've been carrying that within a duffel bag to also hold my ammo. I've been thinking about getting a 5.11 Rush 12 to replace all this. Any opinions on whether this would be a good bag for range use? I just need a place to carry one or two pistols, ammo, mags, and PPE. I like that this bag zips all the way down so it can open flat, and it has pockets and the molle system to add more. I also shoot steel challenge, so the fact that it's a backpack would make it easy to move between ranges for different stages. Most of the reviews I find online on this bag are from folks that use it like a bug out bag or a hiking pack, so I'm hoping to get some other feedback here, especially if anyone here uses a backpack as their bag and whether it's as practical as other types of bags. Thanks! via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2EARQ9X
