Many years with the same small company, my boss and company owner knows I carry, zero issues with it but never brings it up. I have a few specific co-workers of which I have worked with between 3 and 12 years now and love em like family. They however, are completely anti-gun and once mentioned that if they ever worked at a place where there was a gun on premises they would "quit instantly." On occasion gun laws, philosophy, rights, responsibility etc. come up and they always stand their ground, I never really get involved as I know it might lead to them finding out I carry through conversation and the drama that may ensue. What am I asking here? Not really sure, just what YOU might do in my situation? Keep on keeping on or bring it up at some point. If this was a large company it would not be such a big deal but I care about these folks and almost feel as though I am lying to them on a daily basis. Why do I carry at work? I carry everywhere but also the simple fact we are in an industrial part of town, work late nights at times and have crime and drug problem right in our alleyway, literally 20 feet from the entrance. In 2015 there was a murder that I happened to be walking by RIGHT as the police were arriving, the victim was dead in his car, car still running...this was half a block from our work. I have been swung on and assaulted three times in my time there and the drugs and violent individuals just keep getting worse, the company has been broken into twice.Just for the record, I also love shooting, have completed numerous classes and slowly working on my firearm instructors cert. as a personal goal.Again, not asking for anyone to TELL me what to do, just your own thoughts, ideas and opinions? Thanks for listening folks! via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2o09P2z
