How many folks here use the XDS platform for their EDC?For some time, I've avoided the XDS because of the stigma created from the Grip Safety recall a couple of years ago. The last thing I wanted to think about is whether or not an unintended discharge would occur when racking the slide. I digress...I've spoken with several people over the last few weeks, who just adore their XDS's. They're swearing by ease of concealment, reliability, and better than expected recoil for the larger calibers. When I've asked about weight, none have seemed overly burdened by it.I've got say, I find the XDS visually appealing compared to other makers of similar weapons. The price point certainly seems fair enough. The most attractive aspect to me, is that it's available in 40S&W as one of the few single stack options of the caliber (I know, 9mm has been proven as good or better, LE community is dumping the 40, etc. etc. etc...I just like the caliber).Before I drop my hard earned dollars and sense, I thought I would solicit the opinions of those who carry the XDS on a regular basis. Now that you have it, how often do you carry it? Do you regularly choose the XDS over your other carry weapons? Do you trust it with your life? I really want to like XDS enough to own one.
