[Question] Do you guys carry at home? Protect the family in case of forced entry.

I do NOT have my ccw yet, as I am awaiting the very long CA permit process. However at home, where my wife and son are, I feel like of all places that is where I would need an IMMEDIATE ability to fight back if someone were to threaten us in our home. Out in the streets, I could always try to run away from a threat (again, since I don't have the CCW capability yet), but at home, I can't just run to my bedroom where I keep my loaded sig.What are your thoughts?
