I'm torn between using my safe or one of these clever little devices that hide a small handgun. I've looked at several cabinets and clocks and some other ways and the prices seem outrageous. The lowest I've found is the $75 range + shipping. I'm looking at some other option like a lamp with a hidden compartment but it didn't look safe. Guess the fear with the safe is that it's all the way upstairs in my closet so the prospect of walking up the starts upon returning home isn't appealing.Many times I hate to admit I end up putting it on top of the refrigerator for convenience sake. I don't have kids running around but certainly I'm not an advocate for just leaving my gun around. Wondering what the happy middle ground really is here.
