Do any of you have any stories about people carrying with the purpose of escalating? (e.g manipulating the whole self defence legality)

It really bothers me that I've seen several times videos or people posting stories where you see that someone who is carrying a weapon for self defence basically inserts themselves in a situation they know is likely to escalate or deliberately escalates the situation themselves but the person basically knows they can fall back on their gun and shoot the person they are confronting if things go sour, or use the gun as muscle.A guy was posting how he found out his wife was cheating on him and took his open carry pistol out to the mans house to confront her while she was there. He was lucky in that the guy refused to come out and fight with him and his wife blocked him from going in the house. Again I find this bizarre, these weapons should be for self defence, it shouldn't be, go and start a fight and then wait till you start losing and blow the guys brains out.I've even seen videos where a guy saw a commotion was going on somewhere at night, just a drunk street fight, then the guy started agitating the fight and inserting himself in the situation by shouting at the people and surprise surprise drunk aggressive doof acts like an aggressive doof. But then the guy who was carrying escalated and ended up brandishing or doing something equivalent like threatening to shoot and flashing part of the gun or announcing loudly that he will defend himself with his gun if the confrontation continues. And then there is those guys who were convicted who said they were going to go to "piss off some d1ndoos" and basically went in all black carrying rifles and started shit with some black people then as soon as they saw that they'd get their asses kicked started shooting at the people (they got convicted). And that idiot recently who took a gun to a protest and fired it after inserting himself in a load of commotion- he was facing years in prison but got a less than 3 months jail and lost his right to own a gun.Was wondering what you guys think and if you have any stories of this happening that you have experienced personally (friends or someone you know) or know of? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2ht5QbR
