Effectiveness of Expansion?

I currently have the option of carrying a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield .45 or a Glock 43 9x19mm. They're practically the same size and they hold the same number of rounds with a flush magazine. I shoot both equally well up to 15m, and I have a plentiful supply of 9mm HST and .45 Winchester Ranger-T +P.Does r/CCW think that the increased blast and noise of the .45 Shield along with the marginal weight and size increase is worth the extra expansion? The Federal HST in 9mm expands to about 0.61" in water or ballistics gel, while the Winchester Ranger-T expands to about 1.00". Both do well with common barriers like denim and do not clog up or fail to expand. Basically, do you guys think the extra expansion of the .45 ACP round is worth the trade offs listed above? Remember, for me personally I shoot both guns equally well at self-defense distances and the Glock 43 carries only marginally better IWB appendix. Thanks for the help everyone. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2v7GWYB
