Weird Situation- did i handle it right?

Professional pilot for work, so unable to carry or bring firearm with me. (I know some do, but I work for a company that's constantly changing our schedule and a lot of our main spots are very gun unfriendly- NYC, CA)Any ways, hotel room. Respectable hotel and respectable area.3am rolls around and I hear somebody fidgeting with the door. I wake up and start going to the door, and now the fidgeting turns to knocking/ "let me in". I look in peephole and it's somebody i don't know. I say dude wrong room but this guy keeps knocking / trying to get in.I start yelling again "wrong room man" but it doesn't even phase him.I call front desk and ask immediately for security, they say absolutely. This guy goes from knocking to pounding on the door and is yelling louder. I yelled one more time "wrong room" but nothing.Security shows up, first thing this guy says is "i'm deaf". They go downstairs, never hear from the guy again. Security came back and said he really was deaf, just got the room mixed up.I never opened the door, but it just got me wondering what else I could've done in a situation like this. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2oq7AIG
