Throwing your wallet during a mugging

When I took my CCW class, the instructor was throwing out some scenarios and I just wanted to get your opinions on if this should be done or not:A guy comes up to you with a handgun demanding your phone and wallet. You comply and slowly take your wallet out of your pocket. You then throw your wallet at the guy giving you enough time to draw and shoot. Now we've all heard that you should never draw on a drawn gun, but is this a good idea? I could see a few different ways that this could go wrong (the guy shoots you for throwing the wallet because you can't draw quick enough, the guy accidentally pulls the trigger while trying to catch the wallet). Is this good advice? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2oqpniT
