Sheild vs full size: point of aim, point of impact

Finally got some range time again today with my m&p full sized 9. I haven't been able to shoot it in about 6 months, and only ever put maybe 300 rounds through it. I quickly remembered that it (or the way I'm firing it) has a lower point of aim / point of impact than my glock 20. Basically line the top of the front sight post with the top of the rear, round hits about the base of the front sight post very predictably, 2" groups at 8 or so yards. I'm fine with that since it's very consistent.Anyhow, I want to get a shield for carry and there's little to no chance I'll get to fire one before buying it. Does the shield perform the same way (assuming other people experience this)? I'm pretty sure folks will want to weigh in on grip and such which is fine, but I'm happy with my consistency and ability to draw and put rounds where I need them. I'm mostly curious if the shorter sight radius, or maybe different grip angle (which I don't think is different?) has any sort of impact on this. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2nQHVYt
