Got back in contact with a friend I've randomly been crossing paths with for 30+ years. My wife and I went over to her place for dinner. A hug happened. I remember I was carrying at the last second, and was worried she'd realize I was carrying.My EDC is an SP01 in an IWB AG holster. Kydex completely covers the trigger. It's not exactly subtle, if you're looking. I get the occasional wink and a nod from friendly LEO's.We sat down and had dinner, caught up on old times, and our kids had a blast. I usually go to bed pretty early, but it was a special occasion so we left pretty late. I didn't turn the right way to give a CC hug goodbye."What's this?"My darling child pipes up. "It's a gun. He carries everywhere."My buddy had, obviously, figured out I was armed.She wanted to know what I carried. I lifted my shirt to show her. She wanted to see it (no innuendo). I carefully drew (not comfortable for me ) to show her. She wanted to get hands on but, I carry with a round in the chamber, and I wasn't about to drop the mag and clear it, especially with our kids in the room.She got a close look and was satisfied. I holstered it and talked to her teenager about safety. I have an obligation to leave if told to, but I have no duty to inform and can carry anywhere Federal bans don't apply.
