Have Self Defense Laws in Florida been gradually molded to help the swarms of elderly people living there?

Specifically the Castle Doctrine laws in florida?Ex: if someone breaks into your home in Florida it doesn't matter if they're actually armed. The homeowner is allowed to assume they're armed and take steps to defend themselves accordingly.I feel like laws such as these would greatly benefit old people who are far less capable of protecting themselves.any other laws i'm unaware of? does my theory make sense? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2n9TY4h
