I've carried a PM9 (CM9 is the cheaper option) daily for the past 4 years and love it. It is the smallest reliable 9mm available. I have never had any issues at the range and it actually shoots well for me, although I don't have huge hands. I carry it AIWB and it is almost as small as some of the .380s out there and I can wear a tight fitting tshirt and it still conceals. But whenever I see people recommend .380s or subcompact 9s, all I ever see is ruger lcp2, sig p238/p938, glock 42/43, and hardly ever see Kahr. Their .380 (CW380,P380) is about the size of the LCP and looks so much better and the triggers on the Kahrs are great IMO. The trigger is a bit long, but it is very gradual with almost no increased tension right before it fires. The length is great for concealed since it doesn't have a safety so it adds a bit more leeway if you do something dumb. The only cons I ever see about these guns is that you have to use the slide release to chamber a round, as it sometime does not chamber if you slingshot it. This shouldn't be an issue if you carry one in the chamber as you should. The recoil springs are pretty tough which would be bad for some females if they can't chamber a round or clear malfunctions, but it is fine for me. This could be a good thing if you want to store it unchambered as your children won't be able to chamber a round if you are dumb enough to let them get to it and ammo.It can also be pretty ammo picky early on before it is broken in. I don't see why this is really an issue. This isn't a video game. You aren't looting bodies for ammo and having issues if your firearm doesn't run them well. Just feed it what it likes. In some cases I would feel that I am trying to justify my purchase 4 years ago. But the reliability and quality of my PM9, as well as its size, just makes me feel bad that it is not recommended more as I think other people would love them too. via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2n28OpM
