What do you think about the law in Texas authorizing deadly force against someone fleeing with unlawfully-taken property?

Here in Texas, it is legal to use deadly force "to prevent the other who is fleeing immediately after committing burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, or theft during the nighttime from escaping with the property"See 9.42: http://ift.tt/2nPDGdL provision has been used to legally justify conduct like shooting a prostitute that took a man's money at night, a neighbor shooting two men who were fleeing after burglarizing his neighbor's empty home, and a store owner shooting a nighttime tip jar thief: http://ift.tt/2nHqFG4 I understand it, this provision is pretty unique to Texas. What do you think about it, and would you support this becoming law in your state? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2nPCTcr
