Defensive situation question.

So a little background, this actually happened to me but it was before I had my concealed carry.I was driving back to my dorm freshman year of college and had a road rage incident. I was in the left lane going 5mph over the speed limit while passing a car in the right lane. There was a guy behind me who clearly wanted to go faster. As I got over he yelled, "moved the f*** over f****t". Now admittedly I should have left it at that. However, I had 2 gay friends in high school who were bullied to the point of suicide, so that f word is a little bit of a trigger for me.So I ended up yelling back at him telling him to not use that word and not to call me that. Now here is where he gets aggressive.Me realizing that I done fucked up, rolled up my windows and tried to speed off and lose him. He stays on my tail, honking and flashing his brights. I got caught at 2 stop lights and he jumped out of the car at both of them running up to my car beating on my window telling me that he's going to beat the shit out of me.I'm a little shaken up at this point because this dude is about a foot taller than me and probably weighs twice as much as I do.Now I'm frantically trying to lose him and gain the attention of the cops while I'm calling 911. They tell me to drive towards the police station, which is what I was doing g anyway. However, at the third stop light he jumps out of his car with a baseball bat and starts running at me until a sheriff deputy finally saw him and stopped him.In my state we have a duty to retreat/flee, which I felt I showed by trying to run multiple times.I know that I shouldn't have yelled, and I made the situation worse (I learned my lesson not to do that). This has been something I've been going over in my head during the last 4 years since it's happened. If the police hadn't shown up (I was blocked in at the light) would you have drawn on him in this situation? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2mPG59Y
