Hello!First timer here on the sub. I just turned 21 in May so I'm planning on signing up for the CCW class and getting a pistol as a Christmas present to myself. I'm going to be taking the class at Shoot Straight (I live in FL) and they provide everything which is awesome.Little back story on my gun history: My dad is a former Marine so as I kid, he had me shooting all types of guns - assault rifles, pistols, shotguns, .50 cal, you name it (sorry if my terminology isn't on par). I'm obviously going to carry whenever I'm out and about and where I'm permitted to carry but I also ride a motorcycle, so that will play a huge role in deciding what to purchase.I was looking into the Glock 43 and the Springfield XDS9. Both fit comfortably in my hand, however, I haven't shot either of them yet. I plan on trying out various pistols after I take my class. Ideally, I want something on the lighter and compact side so it's comfortable to carry under my motorcycle jacket or on my waist.Since I haven't stayed up to date with all the latest pistols and such, I was hoping you guys might be able to give me some recommendations. I'd like to stay under $600 if possible.
