Negligent Discharge.

Let me preface this by first admitting that I screwed up and this is the fault of me being both complacent and an idiot. I was at home 2 days ago, I decided that I would grab my firearm and do some dry fire drill in preparation for going on leave back home for 2 weeks. I dropped the mag, and was going to take down the slide, the firearm is a CZ, I know that before you pull the takedown tabs that you must first pull the trigger, and that is what I did. I did not properly clear my firearm in my stupor, the gun held up its end of the bargain and sent a round through my TV, into the living room wall, and ended up going through the other side into my neihbors living room, it hit the entertainment center and ended up resting on the surge protector. I immediately ran next door to make sure that she and her family were okay, they were fine but I lost my wits about it, I could have seriously hurt somebody or even worse I could have taken a life out of my own stupidity and careless action. I'm am so stupid for putting them in that situation and I will never forgive myself for such an action, I feel disgusting, irresponsible, and just downright shitty, and I deserve to feel this way.I notified the the base, they took my weapons and stored them in the armory. They will be there for a while as there will be an investigation. I will be going home for about 2 weeks, I will have some time to seriously self evaluate and examine my mistake and my careless action, I will never let something so stupid and careless occur again. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2N3XyY0
