Has anyone gone from carrying every day to almost never carrying?

I've carried daily for 12+ years. My entire adult life since age 18. I have a new job starting in a couple of months as an over the road truck driver. Its just not going to be possible to have a gun in my truck and to stay legal, so I am leaving it at home. I can't even have pepper spray with me. Will definitely carry a knife, though.Thinking about not being armed for the first time in my adult life gives me a bit of anxiety. Has anyone else gone from carrying daily to carrying almost never?
