One of those rules people tend to gloss over when they are a CCW holder.

Being a CCW holder means you have a tool in your possession to handle a situation - not the first tool, either, mind you. Being aware of your surrounding, following the instinct that warns you when your in danger, and being able to understand that your firearm is your LAST point of defense - because if you've gotten beyond that you've forgotten the first rule of preparation - don't put yourself in the situation where the firearm is needed to begin with.
