Do you leave your carry gun chambered/+1'd 24/7? Do you unload it every night?

I carry a shield 9 and LCP 2 for reference.Do you keep your carry gun racked/+1'd 24/7? Do you ever unload it, whatever the term is...unrack/unchamber it....at night?Will I damage the gun or the round by keeping it chambered 24/7?
