Question here, hoping someone can broaden my understanding.I work as a bouncer in a fairly popular bar in UT.I regularly see people with concealed weapons and deny entry, mostly because the owner has no interest in weapons in his bar - I tend to agree with him here. I mostly catch people when they sit at the bar, or lean over the bar and their shirts/jackets ride up. I also spot printing, and occasionally someone will make my job easy and hand their permit to me as ID.It's my understanding that private citizens are allowed to concealed carry in bars and clubs with certain limitations in this state. I also know that I am allowed to deny entry as an agent of my employer.I guess my question here is why carry in a bar?. I see no reason to mix alchohal and guns (yes, this does happen), and if a situation were to arise I have a hard time imagining someone being able to make a clean shot in a crowded bar. Can anyone shed some insight on the logic of carrying in a situation like this?I understand the premise behind a concealed weapon. I don't take issue with it in most situations, just this one. For what its worth: I own guns, hunt, and have been known to carry firearms for protection in grizzly bear country via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2lRrqHe
