Getting a ccw in california while active duty military

I’m a california resident. Serving active duty in the coast guard. I have partook in maritime law enforcement but my current duty does not encompass law enforcement. Do i have a better chance of getting a concealed carry? Obviously my reason is for self defense and carry when i deem is necessary depending where i’m going. Another reason is with all this asian hate going on and being of asian decent ,this is another reason of getting a ccw. Any thoughts? I have no idea what county is better to apply for.
